The sand here is uncrowded even on the weekends when Pondicherry's Promenade and Paradise Beach are packed, and because the coast faces east, the walk is best at sunrise. Back at the villas, every stay has a pool: five villas have their own private pool and the rest share a large common pool.
What is there to do near the resort?
Pondicherry and Auroville are each about 30 minutes away. In town, the French Quarter, the Promenade, the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the Botanical Garden are all within walking distance of each other once you park. Auroville has the Matrimandir, the visitor centre, bakeries and craft studios. Paradise Beach is a short boat ride from the Chunnambar boat house south of town, and Gingee Fort, Vedanthangal and Mahabalipuram all make good day trips. With free parking at the villas, a car or a booked taxi is the easiest way to get around this coast.
