How do you get from the villas to Auroville?
By car, in about 30 minutes. To go inside the Matrimandir you book a pass in advance through Auroville's visitor centre, and the viewing point and the Inner Chamber run on different timings, so check the current rules before you set off. If you are doing Auroville and Pondicherry in one day, go to Auroville first and town in the late afternoon.
Is it better to stay in Auroville or on the coast?
